Well some new 'Tilda' arrived last week. I think all of us hoped it would have been before Christmas but alas it wasn't to be. There are a few Christmas bits and pieces but this could make you prepared for this Christmas... Be ahead of yourself and organised, maybe!
They are all so cute it's very hard to decide on what to pick and make first.....
My heart goes out to all those poor people that have lost everything in the fires out west. There are lots of lovely sewing girls out that way, including Chooky Blue! I hope your ok..
We are expecting another horrific day here on Friday. They are saying that they have our fire under control here... So hopefully we may be safe..
Our poor tourists I'm sure have all cut their holidays short, which you can't blame them really. I have seen some of the regular tourists but not many. Which is a real shame.
Happy Stitching... Be safe and cool.
Kim x
Well I hope everyone is ok after those awful winds on Friday night and Saturday. The house made terrible noise during the night, we thought we were going to lose parts of our roof or fence. I hope this isn't the start of our horrible August winds, that are going to start early.
About 10 days ago this lovely delivery arrived from Moda. Vintage Modern by Bonnie and Camille.
Well they are pretty gorgeous, don't you think! My minds racing for what I want to make with them,my two daughters think they are very pretty. Come and see for yourself, they are at a great price too.
Happy Stitching ( and thinking about Vintage Modern )

Need a idea for a 'Secret Santa' present? Well this little table runner may just be it. My delightful and wonderful friend Sharon has made up this sample of Janelle Wind's tablerunner 'Orange Blossom'. And it is just gorgeous, even if I do say so myself. She has made it up out of 'Strawberry Fields' fabric range by Figtree Quilts.
The colours in this range are yummy enough to eat. I have the pattern available to purchase by itself or I also have kits made up aswell. Just send me an email or contact the shop on 02 44212577.
Sorry the photo is side ways but you can see the runner properly.
And this is the lovely and talented Sharon. It was her birthday a few weeks ago. (I really hope her Bootcamp trainer doesn't see this!!!!!!)
My right hand friend Carol comes home on Monday from Huston and she's been emailing me telling me she has so many things to share!! How exciting!
Happy Stitching

Well I hate to say it but we are on the big countdown...there is only 8 weeks until that jolly man in the red suit stops off to say Merry Christmas...or if you you prefer there are only 55 sleeps!!
Its almost time to decorate but don't fear because in the shop at the moment I have the cutest decorations and Christmas goodies.
There are some lovely little birdie ornaments and hanging decorations and the most delightful snowmen.
You might prefer to decorate by making something special and there are some great patterns out at the moment.
Some fantastic Christmas prints are in store from Moda. These are in the ranges Jovial, Countdown to Christmas and Grace by Three Sisters.
I also have some little fat quarter and fat eighth bundles of Lynette Andersons Scandinavian Christmas from Lecien. The colours are just lovely in this range and are perfect for something a little different.
Some more exciting news is that Carol has put on her cowboy boots and headed off to Houston, Texas. She is sure to come home just bursting with new ideas and lots of news about all the newsest trends that are heading our way. Fingers crossed that she gets a flight home ok!!
Dont forget that I am happy to bundle up any goodies and fabrics and post them out or stop by and pay me a visit to say hi!
Til next time,
Happy Stitching, Kim :)
If you are watching your waistline, then I have the perfect fat free treat for you..... look at this deliciousness that arrived this week...
Bliss by Bonnie and Camille is the stunning new range from Moda, and certainly gets your tastebuds tingling! The colours are even more mouthwatering in real life, pretty pinks, aqua and strawberry reds, with just a hint of chocolate (zero calories of course). Once I saw how beautiful this range is I couldn't resist ordering just a few more bolts of fabric.
Along with her scrumptious fabrics, Camille has also released a new book called "Simplify". I have a few of these in stock and it is an absolute pleasure to read with inspiring photographs and has projects and helpful hints for all levels of stitchers, from beginners to the more experienced.
You may also have heard the buzz lately about Leanne Beasley producing her very own magazine which will be exclusive to patchwork stores and will be called "Vignette"
It is sure to be full of inspiration and a visual delight, with ideas for your home, garden, kitchen and lots more. Leanne has also revealed that it will include a queen size, block of the month quilt, so we will have lots to look forward to.
I am happy to take pre-orders if you wish to reserve your copy but please be aware that no price has yet been set, so just drop me an email if you are interested and I will get back to you as soon as I have details.
Leanne is launching her magazine at Quilt Market on 20th November so "Good Luck Leanne" and congratulations on such a wonderful idea! I look forward to my first glimpse of Vignette!
Til then,
Happy Stitching, Kim :)
