What a weekend! I am still recovering from lack of sleep and pulled stomach muscles from laughing so much. You girls never fail to entertain!
Waterslea is the perfect place to enjoy a spot of stitching whilst taking in these breathtaking views,
and who could resist stitching the projects these two beautiful designers created..
I was very lucky to have both Leanne Beasley and Rosalie Quinlan attend my third retreat at Waters Edge.I hope things weren't too wild for you girls!
Rosalie created some beautiful stitching projects that could be used to decorate a bag or a canvas, and a few of the ladies stitched on red linen which you can see Rosalie's sample below (I still have some in stock if you are interested) it looked absolutely stunning.
She also designed a doll called Poppy and an applique project bag and needlecase, I just love the little bluebirds.
Leanne took regular workshops throughout the weekend ( her poor voice only just held out ) explaining the hints and tricks to designing our own quilts. She also supplied those of us who are "inspirationally challenged" with some ideas and patterns to help get us started.
I have lots more to share about the weekend.......some beautiful show and tell, some crazy antics..........
Karan demonstrates a new use for Natalie Ross' pincushion, very elegant and sure to be seen on catwalks around the globe!
So stay tuned for another post soon and the tale of two soggy stitchers..........
Til then....... Happy Stitching,
Kim :)
